Robotics 2017-2018

Thanks to the help of many volunteer mentors, the OHS Robotics team finished #11 at our last competition and played in the Quarterfinals!  We'd like to thank our sponsors Picatinny Arsenal and the Law Offices of Lewis, Clifton & Nikolaidis, P.C., as well as all our Donors Choose Sponsors for helping to make this happen.
Thanks also to our regular mentors Marc and Olu for coming in 2-3 times a week during the build season, and to Kathy, Will, Michael, RJ, Kevin and Pablo for your help in a pinch.  We couldn't have done it without you guys!  Here's to hoping for an even better season in 2019! -Ms. Nikolaidis

Robotics 2016-2017

Welcome to the new year of robotics!  Ms. Nikolaidis is the robotics coach this year.  Returning members Joy, Nakiyah, Nathan, Nathanael, Oneil and Jethro are leading the charge along with a bevy of new members.  We are also welcoming back veteran member Marc Cadet as a mentor along with Pablo.
Through robotics, students learn problem-solving and design skills, gain hands-on experience with tools and electronics, coordinate fundraising and sponsorship opportunities, and join a community of like-minded engineers for the 21st century.  Go Torbotix!

Robotics 2013-2014

This year at Orange High School, Mr. Arlea, Ms. Gavigan, Ms. Valdez and Mr. Rosenthal are in charge of the First Robotics team. Joining the club inspires young children to become science and technology leaders.
Students will take part in a Robotics Competition that involves:
  -Fund Raising
  -Designing T-Shirts
  -Managing Funds
  -Web Page Designing
  -Building a Robot
This is an amazing experience for all students and offers millions of dollars in scholarship

Everyone working together as one.

"It will be hard work. It's always hard work, and hard work from everybody within the team - technical director, mechanics, drivers, engineers - everyone in the team."
